We are La Marea

Marea Verde is a non-profit association that since 2018 has been taking action and raising awareness on how to mitigate solid waste contamination in the rivers and coasts of Panama.

  • We developed pilot clean-up initiatives in the Juan Díaz River basin, and
  • We implement awareness campaigns and sustainable alternatives for waste disposal.

Our Team

This organization arises as a concern from the citizens of a community in which, despite the cleaning campaigns carried out each year, they continued seeing a lot of garbage and a problem that was not resolved.
