Be a Volunteer

At Marea Verde, we believe everyone can be part of the solution. That’s why we invite you to visit La Casa de Wanda, our interactive environmental center located in Juan Díaz.

During your visit:

  • You’ll learn about the impact of plastic pollution.
  • You’ll get to know BOB and Wanda up close.
  • You’ll take part in a hands-on waste-sorting activity with materials collected from the river.
  • And most importantly, you’ll leave inspired to take action in your own community!

    Your donations help us continue installing floating barriers in the rivers of Panama City to capture waste before it reaches the ocean.

    Donations to Marea Verde are tax deductible according to Panama’s tax authority Dirección General de Ingresos de Panamá #201-1413 resolution dated 29 de Abril de 2019.

        At our shop in La Casa de Wanda you’ll find products made for everyday life: practical, eco-friendly and with purpose. Our children’s books “Bob & Garzón contra la corriente de basura” and “Lucas y los monstruos de basura”, along with bags and cable organizers made by local businesses like Simpleaf, and stickers; each one carries the story of Marea Verde.

         

        And the best part is that every order sustains our work in innovation, education and advocacy for a cleaner Panama.

      • NEW BOOK

        Written by Evelina Preciado and illustrated by Beatriz Mello, it’s a story created for the children who will grow up with a cleaner bay. It turns a real problem, the trash that threatens our rivers and seas, into an adventure that little ones can feel, understand and make their own.

         

        For a donative contribution of $15.00 you take the story home, and every copy sustains our work for a cleaner Panama.
