Discover the Casa de Wanda

The Casa de Wanda is Marea Verde’s interactive environmental education center, designed to inspire children, youth, and adults to take action against plastic pollution in our rivers and coastal areas.

Located in the township of Juan Díaz, this unique space invites you to explore, learn, and connect with real, local solutions. Here you can see firsthand how our water wheel Wanda and floating barrier B.o.B. work, understand the impact of trash on aquatic ecosystems, and discover what we can do to reduce it.

What can you do during your visit?

Since its opening on July 3, 2024, more than 8,200 people have experienced the Casa de Wanda. Students, teachers, companies, tourists, and local communities have taken part in dynamic and educational activities.

During your visit, you can:

– Get to know Wanda and B.o.B., the water wheel and floating barrier that collect waste from the Juan Díaz River.

– Join an educational and interactive tour that explains the impact of plastic in a clear and engaging way.

– Explore visual exhibits, educational resources, and hands-on spaces about recycling, sustainability, and the circular economy.

– Rent the space for activities: celebrations, workshops, school events, or corporate gatherings.
